What is this Sprite?

So, in my computer class, we use CodeHS. In CodeHS, you can run sandbox programs.

And in the sandbox programs, you can choose Scratch.

When you boot it up, THIS sprite appears (named “Scout”):

This sprite is NOT in the sprite library:

So what is it, when was it added, and why is in not in vanilla Scratch's sprite library?

I’m going to guess that it’s just part of CodeHS, the same way the dango sprite is just part of TurboWarp.

What is this Sprite?

my guess is that codeHS ran some sort of code which automatically imported the sprite

Those were both my assumptions, but I don't know why they would do that.

It's not on google and not part of the site.*

*as far as i'm aware

What is this Sprite?

it's likely CodeHS has different default sprites, compared to Scratch.

Turbowarp has the Dango as a default sprite, Adacraft has a star, etc.

CodeHS is probably just using a Scratch mod (probably made by them) that does that, because Scratch Cat is trademarked (though then why didn't they replace the Scratch logo?).

someone should email them about that, because if they profit off it, they could get into legal trouble

They don't. CodeHS can be accessed for free, and the Scratch editor can also be accessed for free (along with IDEs for more programming languages than I've ever seen support for outside of GitHub and Microsoft's Visual Studio Code).
I'm guessing that they just changed the default project- the thing that is (probably- not certain) copied when you click “Create” or another button that creates a new project. Internally, just change the Scratch Cat to whatever image you want, and have the project.json file reflect that change.

It’s basically a strange scratch cat that’s not from Cat Village.
