What type of question is it? Is it a simple one where it directly asks you what you want to be and who your mentor is, or is it a more complex question that asks what you would do in a certain situation and decides what you become based on your answer?

Also, I've got a few storyline ideas:

- Some ponies are being afflicted with a strange virus that causes the colors of their bodies and manes to switch. It also has a psychological impact that sometimes causes the pony to do the opposite of what they would normally do. For example, if Derpy were to get the virus her body would turn blond and her mane would be grey. And if she was about to eat a muffin, there's a chance she would change her mind and throw the muffin away. The cure is unknown, and you have to search around to help the ponies figure it out.
- The Elements of Harmony have been stolen and hidden in separate areas, and you have to find them. Meanwhile Ponyville seems to be getting darker by the second.
- Pinkie Pie's been too busy baking up a large order for a party, so she hasn't had time to entertain Ponyville. Because of this a few ponies have been feeling really down lately due to personal problems, and they need you to cheer them up.
- You found a coin but you dropped it. Now you must complete the grueling task of bending over to pick it up again.

If you want they can be small sidequests instead.

If this is how the pony type and mentor will be determined, we either need more questions or more options to make it more diverse.

How would your pony type be determined by the question though?
Or does the type get chosen a different way?

you end up with rarity you are a unicorn, end up with rainbowdash your a Pegasus ect.
It wouldnt make sense if your a pegasus and you end up with twilight sparkle as your mentor XD
