Cloud hacking.

In the recent curated project “Duet” I hacked the cloud variables to make it look like I had a huge score, is that allowed?
Note to all:
I MADE AMENDS WITH THE PROJECT OWNER AND HE WAS OKAY WITH IT AND JUST CHANGED IT BACK

Where in the terms of use does it state that?

It doesn't explicitly state you can't anywhere in the TOU, although it's common courtesy to not ruin cloud scores by accessing the API and changing cloud variable values. Although it doesn't directly state it anywhere, I do think it would fall under this part of the TOU:
3.5 You agree not to use Scratch in any way intended to disrupt the service, gain unauthorized access to the service, or interfere with any other user's ability to use the service.

section 7.1, which states "Scratch has the right to suspend your account for violations of the Terms of Use or Community Guidelines. Repeat violators may have their account deleted. The Scratch Team reserves the sole right to determine what constitutes a violation of the Terms of Use or Community Guidelines. The Scratch Team also reserves the right to terminate any account used to circumvent prior enforcement of the Terms of Use."

The ST has previously made it clear that this is not allowed.
(This also holds true for posting comments on close comment sections, please don't do that)

sadly, I don't currently have a link to this, but @GamesReinvented also gives a few parts of the ToU which this somewhat violates.
I'll see if I can find a source, but that google search thing for the forums doesn't always give the best results.

When you enter the editor, the project stops interacting with cloud variable servers, unless you are doing some insanity with websockets somehow.

EDIT: Aka, you actually didn't “hack” cloud variables.

If the cloud variable’s value after being hacked shows up when another user looks at the cloud logs, that means it was actually hacked.

It's definitely not allowed, as per the below clause of the TOU, and it's reportable to the scratch team via contact us.

3.5 You agree not to use Scratch in any way intended to disrupt the service, gain unauthorized access to the service, or interfere with any other user's ability to use the service.

Whenever I identify someone “cloud hacking” on my projects I always gather evidence via screenshots of the cloud logs, and send them to the scratch team. They always thank me, and usually take action… a warning for some, or a ban for repeat offenders.
