There are so many appropriate words that are censored on scratch. WHERE ARE MY RIGHTS TO FREE SPEECH?! Scratch censorship is more like one of those governments who don’t let people say stuff. My suggestion is to unblock many words, and for the words that are inappropriate, just replace them with asterisks instead of not letting someone talk for some amount of minutes.

The unmoderated chat website is censored because it has private messaging with no moderation whatsoever. We hear about creeps on unmoderated chat website all the time, and scratch doesn’t want the kids on here to see that part of the internet. Remember this site is for kids. most scratchers are under the age of 13 and that one website that you are refering to has a 13+ REQUIREMENT

Schools exist. And might stop using scratch if it refers to a bad site. Donations exist. Banning that one website is not a question of inappropriateness, it is because of money. If scratch didn't have donations nothing would function

Lies (and if it was allowed to mention here some kids would lie about their age to make an account)
Personal info leaks (this is one of the most dangerous things and I’m assuming one of the main reasons it’s not allowed to mention, kids trust easily and could make friends there and give them their personal info in like 3 days of knowing them. When I was a small kid I did stuff like that, but it wasn’t like that bad of information, just my first name but who knows what other kids might say or do)

Scratch has 600k+ active users, and the app is quite popular, so at least a couple of people would end up in it and not like it.
And just because under-13s can't comment on it doesn't mean they can't see the texts through a link.
