This will be a new type of account.


What it does:
This will be a button present when you're signed out, if you press it, it shall say: “You are creating a guest account, guest account may not comment, share projects, love or favorite brojects, and extensions may not be used, cloud variables may not be used either.”

RestrictionsYou get the default profile, and you may not change it. Nobody has the ability to see your account page except you and the ST, but you may be able to customize it. It's impossible for a normal person to report the account. Your username will be defaulted to "Guest“ For example, if I was the first guest account created. It would be ”Guest1". You may not change usernames.


Promotion:
If you have been on a guest account for long enough, you may have to ability to promote it into a new scratcher account. It will say: Do you want to promote this account into a New Scratcher account? If you press it, it will bring you to the account creation page, are terms apply.


Bans:It has the ability ot be deleted, or banned. The ban message will look like: Guest account deleted. This guest account has broken our terms of use……… Please do not do this on a existent account. If you do this again, you will be not permitted to make guest accounts. The message would look like this: Guest account creation mo longer permitted. You have broken our terms of use multiple times: ……….. Please do not do this on a existent account. You may use guest accounts if you're banned/perm banned.

Reason:
I think this should be added because this can introduce people to the platform a bit more, instead of using videos and advice from other people on how to connect and use Scratch. Also because everybody else has it

It's not supposed to be a normal account, it's so people can get the with flow of scratch. And get used to more things. I should've added . It also works because when banned people get, banned, the ST does not have the ability to trust them. Because they have gone against the ST's “law”. So it's all your fault if you get banned and can only use guest accounts.

When I was a young Scratcher and I wanted to see if Scratch was the right fit for me, I browsed the website for several months without making an account. Then, when I felt that I was ready and had “gotten with the flow of Scratch,” I created an account. I'm not sure that a “guest account” is needed in this process.

I don't really see the point of this. If you want all this privacy, couldn't you just sign out?

no support. you can just not be signed in, and plus if only ST and the user can see the account, and it has the ability to be banned, who the heck will report it so that st sees? and how would it even break rules?

No, that's not the workaround I was thinking if.

You can unconfirm your email on account creation and confirm it when needed.

There isn't any reason you can't “get with the flow” of Scratch with a New Scratcher account.

• Yes, you can share projects. But you don't have to share your projects. You may not know about hate and stuff, but you wouldn't have more reason to create an account where you can't share projects then to just not share projects.
  
• Yes, you can comment. But, again, you don't have to comment, and you wouldn't have more reason to make a guest account than to simply not comment.
  

Disabling all these things wouldn't be done instead of simply not doing them.

I guess it's worth saying that, back when I was first starting on Scratch, there was no online editor, and so anybody who was interested in making projects already had the offline editor downloaded to their computer. Nowadays times have changed and it's more convenient to make projects online.

So it seems to me that the main/only purpose of a guest account is to be able to make and save projects using the online editor. Sounds reasonable. As someone said above though, I think just not confirming your email will accomplish the same goal.

what would be the point of it? a guest account is basically just not having one by the limit's you have set. Besides, who realistically would create a guest account rather than a normal one?

The only benefit for this is your projects will save but a feature where your projects are cached if you didn't login would be way better. Also, whats the point of moderating a guest account that cannot even break community guidelines if they cant do anything!??! Why after awhile you can convert it into a new scratcher when you can save all of yours projects into a folder and just create a new account, why can't it be insant?
