Discuss parts you didn’t like in a movie you did like, or vice versa

What are some parts of a movie that you enjoyed, but those parts were in a movie that you didn’t like? Or, vice versa: what movie did you like have some parts you didn’t like?

I love The Super Mario Bros. Movie, but it has 3 glaring issues:

When Spike leaves Punch-Out Pizza after insulting the Mario Bros., he leaves most of his uneaten pizza behind and doesn't take it with him.
When Mario uses a Mini Mushroom in the fight against DK, he gets hit by DK and then “powers down” to normal, whereas in the games he would have just died.
When the blue-shelled Koopa chases down the gang, he aims for Mario and DK, even though Peach and Toad were clearly ahead of them in 1st place.

Ah, well, I strongly disliked The Super Mario Bros. Movie, and felt it was uninspired and 90% of it was “hey look at this reference”, but I liked the animation and the simple story

The references are why the movie was good. If the movie had no Mario references in it, that would be pretty awkward.

I just watched Kung Fu Panda 4 and it is the most predictable movie I've ever seen, but it's still a fun ride.
