I just don't understand why my scrolling game isn't working.

I need to know what the problem is first, or I cannot help.

Yes you need to state what the problem is. What I can see though are 2 things;

1) You need a wait statement in the next costume loop.

2) This is not a scrolling game. The code you are showing is just an attempt to simulate something like gravity.
