Why is the search indexer so slow?

My browser / operating system: Windows NT 10.0, Chrome 122.0.0.0, No Flash version detected
It's been almost a month and my project STILL hasn't been indexed into search; is it broken?

Because every set period of time, it has to restart from index 0, thus, as the amount of projects increase, projects further down the list take longer to get indexed (as you'd have to get lucky for it to get to you in time). Apparently the ST has stopped the indexer from indexing really early projects, which fixed it for a while, but due to the rapid growth in amount of projects, it is again failing to get past the 960 million project range (from what i've heard).

And don't ask for a source, I have no source, I got this from some random (trustworthy) forum post but I cannot link to it as I have no idea where or what its called.

Why is it so hard to just set the restart position of the stupidly slow indexer?

because that'll prevent any earlier projects from being indexed, and it might require some goofy stuff done to the servers for it to take effect (idk about servers but I don't think code changes can take effect WHILE they run)

Why is the search indexer so slow?

Why can't there be two indexers running at the same time, going from both sides and meeting in the middle?

Not sure but remember all this stuff takes money.

Because that would require the indexer either take up more resources, or have both run twice as slow, thus leaving any project in the middle from being indexed

Bump. This bug still persists as of March 30th. Could the April Fool's pranks/search terms coming this year be related to this bug? This never occurred in any previous April Fool's Days.

Sometimes it takes a while for the project to load, the more projects you make with a certain title, keyword, or username, the more likely they are to start appearing.

I will bump this topic again because these indexer problems are getting talked about less often now.
Also, coincidentally, the front page may still be blank for some users.
