My browser / operating system: MacOS Macintosh X 10.15.7, Safari 17.3.1, No Flash version detected

lately in scratch, no audio has been working. Game sounds, click sounds, and note-blocks. No sound is working. Other websites run sounds just fine, and my other devices do not run sound as well on my account. Any ideas?

Do you mean the sounds don't work on your account, but they work on other alternate ones? Maybe I'm looking too deeply into semantics.

Anyway, check if the Scratch tab is muted in your browser. If there is a sound playing, see if there is a speaker icon with a slash over it.

I am using an iPad with a keyboard and trackpad, so the safari layout is a little different, so I can’t really check if it’s muted unless if you know how. (Sound doesn’t work on alts)

I have a similar but less problematic glitch (happened to my friend as well)

for me sometimes shortly after I upload audio it goes ‘flat’ that is when it says it is 0 seconds long instead of show long it actually is, when I play the flat/ corrupt audio track, it doesn't make a sound and I have to reupload the sound. That might be for the same reason.
check if tab is muted (if on pc there will be a slash on a volume/audio icon, this applied to edge (what i use) and safari i think)

Note: I am using Microsoft edge on a windows 11 23H2 operating system

Try reset bowser audio (I don't have a mac so idk)

Stop using Safari, it's garbage, and is probably causing the problem.
