The backdrop can not move, you have to use a sprite instead.

Ok , how?Here's a simple script for a scrolling background, but first you'll need a sprite that covers the entire screen as the background, and 2 small dots on the left and right of the background so that it can scroll off screen.
Then, you need a variable, for all sprites so the background can scroll according to the player, or whatever is comrtling the movement, mine will be called “cam x”.
when gf clicked
go to [back v] ::looks
create clone of [myself v]
forever
go to x: ((cam x) mod (480)) y: (0)
when I start as a clone
forever
go to x: (((cam x) mod (480)) - (480)) y: (0)
