I was wondering today if you could change your username manually using settings? I used to hack on mine-
plex, But besides that I barely know how to do anything.

No, you can not change your username manually, and the Scratch Team will only change it for you if it contains personal information or causes gender dysphoria.

No you can't change it at your own will unless your username:

1. Contains inappropriate messages / language.
   
2. Causes Gender Dysphoria.
   
3. Contains private information.

You can move accounts if you want, basically making another account and ditching your original one.
Or just as an alternate / test account.

If you want, you can move all projects to that account by remixing/downloading projects as an .sb3 file then uploading it back to your other account.
