Unusual Scratch usernames list

There is a similar topic in this forum discussing two-character usernames, so I think this forum is the best fit for this topic

Names listed in blue have recent activity within the last 365 days, while names listed in red have their account deleted.

Yes, they do. You can try going to their pages yourself if you want to test them out.

Specifically for mike.marc, this doesn't work, as Scratch doesn't expect the dot in the username. You can only verify the existence of this account via an API exploit that isn't allowed to be mentioned.

I notice a lot of the >20 char usernames are teacher accounts. At least one of the non-teacher ones had their username changed because of personal info they put in it (so they didn't just register the account). I wonder if there's something in the teacher account system that allows longer usernames.

nope, i checked (without making an account obvs). i think it was an early version (hence alpha) of the teacher accounts.

This is only possible through Contact Us if your username contains personal information, gender dysphoria, or is inappropriate. You could still keep that account following a username change. This was the method used by @gasstationwithoutpumps and 3 other accounts in the “20+ character usernames” list.

Newer GDPR compliant accounts will just be deleted. (I only found one that meets this definition so far).

Not possible by normal means now. In the first month of Scratch's release and when it was still on ScratchR this was possible. Now this is only possible with untested Javascript modifications to the Join Scratch page.
