Blacklist emojis instead of whitelisting them
Currently, you have a fixed amount of emojis that you can use on the main site. I understand this, some emojis are, umm, not so good, but instead of a fixed list of emojis, I suggest adding a blacklist of emojis.
More clear explanation: Instead of blocking all emojis and only allowing the ones on the whitelist (see the image), all comments that contain emojis like eggplant, hot face and more should be blocked.
* what kind of list is this

(#1)The water drop emoji is usually paired with the eggplant emoji, so if you just blacklist the eggplant emoji the water drop should be just fine.

Good point. I'll edit it. The water drop emoji is usually paired with the eggplant emoji, so if you just blacklist the eggplant emoji the water drop should be just fine.

AFAIK it's not a blacklist. Those are the onpy emojis they can render because of tech stuff idk
from the scratch wiki:
from the scratch wiki:
The Scratch site supports the Basic Multilingual Plane (BMP), which contains characters for almost all modern languages, and a large number of symbols, which include a few emojis which can be used in text fields. These might not render as emojis on every platform. Emojis beyond the BMP are not supported.

Closing this. You're right. But anyways, they should do some stuff to enable other emojis. AFAIK it's not a blacklist. Those are the onpy emojis they can render because of tech stuff idk

Exactly, Scratch doesn't support three-byte or more characters I'm afraid. Some emoji were previously text symbols, and are in the BMP - but most aren't.
