halloween update

I suggest scratch adds a halloween update. ideas for the update include

making the default sprite a pumpkin, ghost, or something halloweeny around the time of halloween
changing the color scheme of the site to a more halloweeny one (orange, green, purple, etc.)

thats all

as a person whose country (Hungary) doesnt celebrate halloween
just make it a toggle-able option in the account settings menu (off by default) like “Seasonal Themes” or whatever

The ST can't update their site in less than a day. At best, we'll have to wait 'till next year.

Yeah me too luckily based on current situations i wont quit scratch by next halloween so i might be able to see this

Or they could add a “spooky mode” to the editor, in a similar way to how they added “caturday mode” for April Fools' Day.

They add April Fools' updates every year, and I never see someone complain about how they celebrate April Fools' Day and not, for instance, Canadian Independence Day.

No support. Most of this that I'm about to explain has already been talked about, but I added some more:

1. Not all cultures celebrate Halloween. Only excluding this to America or Canada or whatever cultures celebrate Halloween is discrimination and is not encouraged.

2. The ST has already done something like this. Scratchtober is still in progress yearly and is really all they have to add.

3. What would be included in this update? Some users don't get the concept of Fall or Halloween (especially younger users) and might question what the sudden change was about. I mean, they already changed the sites theme to purple!

4. Workarounds. I'm pretty sure there are browser add-ons that can do this, and if you want something that Scratch implemented, you can do high contrast mode for the blocks.

5. Envy. If there's a Halloween update, why isn't there a Winter, Christmas, Hanukkah, or Diwali?

My browser / operating system: MacOS Macintosh X 10.15.7, Chrome 118.0.0.0, No Flash version detected

EDIT: changed “countries” to “cultures” and Scratchtober is not in progress as of this edit.

Not everyone knows of the holiday, nor does everyone agree with the meanings behind the holiday, sometimes holidays also clash with people's religions
