I haven't posted anything on Discuss Scratch in a long time, but I recently fell back in love with the Scratch programming language!
TL,DR: I found a version of scratch called MIDIscratch on scratcharchive.naleksuh.com. ( the version that is labeled October 12, 2011, but there are tonnes of these weird scratch versions on there )

This seems like a very bare-bones Scratch build that was probably in some sort of online beta at one point. I found it really weird to use as it has a clipboard and media center at the bottom. The media center shows some options: Library, Web Search, Import, Paint Editor, Take a Picture, Record a Sound, a box to import sprites via dragging, and one for exporting. I found out that it was called “MIDIscratch” by opening the Menu and choosing About.




Please try to investigate this MyStErIoUs version of scratch. Any help appreciated!!

1st of all: I thought that scratch 2.0 beta was lost to time
2nd: Why does it say “MIDIscratch” in the about box??
3rd: why does it have a “set midi extension host” option?

probably midi was added
during development
also 2.0 betas exists on the site

the 2.x images are just beta versions of 2.0

No it’s not, a ton of builds have been found. Put them on the repository linked in my signature

Where can I get this “MIDIScratch”? I don't see it on the website.
