There should be an option in the costume editor to be able to rotate the costume or anything you have selected 90 degrees. This would be useful for precisely rotating sprites instead of the usual rotate tool. Especially working with the bitmap editor, so pixels don't get messed up when trying to rotate them or if you're trying to rotate them 90 degrees. I think it would work next to the flip buttons.

You can hold Shift while rotating to rotate in increments of 45 degrees.

I think it should be a sort of snap for rotation that you could toggle on
or just an input box asking you which direction you would like to turn the thingamajig in the costume editor
