Did scratch block it's own image host?
Why did this happen? (I hosted this with the scratch image host and it works? I'm confused.)

Maybe try the Scratch CDN? I thought this was supposed to work, but I'm a bit rusty since I haven't been on the forums in a while.

You need to add “get_image/.%2E/” after the “assets.scratch.mit.edu/” bit. See this topic: https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/topic/693387/
