Cross-platform Project Copying——A new project Copying

On August 14th, 2020, the government of the People's Republic of China blocked scratch.mit.edu and all related subdomains from being viewed within China as part of its censorship program known as the Great Firewall.

After this incident,There are many Chinese scratch communities as scratch.mit.edu alternatives

But there are still many Chinese scratchers using VPN to access scratch.mit.edu,This raises a fatal question。
Many scratchers copy projects from scratch.mit.edu to these Chinese communities. Usually, before publishing the project in these communities, the scratcher is asked to choose whether the project is “remix”, “reprinted” or “original”
According to the regulations of these communities, these copied projects should be “reprinted” projects, but some scratchers mark the projects as “original”. This is a form of Plagiarism

Take this project as an example,A scratcher plagiarism this project to scratchCNand called it “original”
Eventually the project was banned。

So, How to protect your projects from cross-platform Project Copying?

If the scratcher plagiarism your project is from CCW,Contact the community administrator using WeChat or QQ

For some people, registering WeChat or QQ is difficult, so I am negotiating with CCW officials to solve this problem

If the scratcher plagiarism your project is from scratchcn,Contact the community manager using email

Cross-platform Project Copying——A new project Copying

This is an unfortunate situation. However, it is not a good fit for “Questions About Scratch”. It's an issue with the other websites.
