Upload GIF with assets.scratch.mit.edu

Hi! I was wondering if it was possible to upload a GIF to the forums using assets.scratch.mit.edu as someone did here. I know how to use assets.scratch.mit.edu (download the file, get the image code, add it to the url), but, as far as I know, it has to be in a sprite's costume, which I know a GIF can't be.
If you know how, please tell me!

It is probably the thumbnail of a project with a gif as a thumbnail. You can do that using this tutorial.

Could be, but usually thumbnails are hosted off cdn2.scratch.mit.edu

yeah unless you do some code stuff like what zydrolic linked that you really can't, there is another method but it can't be mentioned either

anyways, you could do stuff like this cool bump i made now

Edit: there isn't really any simpler way or anything else you can do except finding a project with a gif as a thumbnail, which are usually nfe'd and harder to find and copy the link
