hello there!! i'm cally ( @sarcastically- ) and i am a teenage warrior cats enthusiast as well as an avid writer who uses she/her pronouns! i dont really read into this too much haha, but im both an entp and a virgo! i have two adorable cats- siamese/tabby mixes! One of my favorite online hobbies is roleplaying, and im hopeful to keep that going with gloamingkit!

. activity level
right now, i would say my activity here on scratch is near an 8/10! i tend to join to check my mail every day, probably twice! when im in a roleplay, though, i make sure to keep my scratch tab open and am always ready to respond and/or join a roleplay! the only conflictions i can think of for this would be my family's few vacations- but i'd make sure to let you know and get little glo excused before then!

.roleplay experience
ive been roleplaying since early 2019, and it's been quite the journey! i started with several non-warriors roleplays- specifically hogwarts, wolf-pack, or HTTYD ones- but eventually moved over to TFCRP were i played tumblingsong for a while on my previous account! unfortunately, as tumblingsong as she was a sign-up character, she didn't have many relationships, nor much potential- which is exactly why i'm applying for glo! im so excited to possibly have a chance at this little kiddo, he has an amazing family and litter!
along with this, i will say that ive had such a fun experience roleplaying on roblox, specifically in games such as The Lake Project, The Lake Territory, and of course WCUE.

. why glo?
im applying for gloamingkit not only because of his amazing design or his fun backstory, but also because of the community of scratchers that make up his family! i would be so honored to roleplay along side you! i think the vines on his pelt are a really neat concept for his backstory and personality, along with the fact that he was found at angelfish lake. it gives so much for me to work with as a character!

.. longevity
i will keep gloaming until at /least/ 45 moons, preferably longer! i like to keep my roleplay characters until they become elders, but i will /not/ kiII them off if they havent had at least one litter yet, or at least made several bonds! of course, since glo is starting as a kit, he'll get through both his ceremonies before i even think about when to let him go - not that i will or want to!

name meaning: dusk, twilight
nicknames: glo, gloomy, glowstick (oorp)
gender: AMAB, cisgender
sexuality: probably pan, but i dont think he'll figure it out until apprenticehood!
pronouns: he/him, but personally i think that glo would be fine if someone were to call him something else- or rather, he'd be too awkward to correct it.
preferences: glo is open to anyone haha, but he really likes striking eyes in a cat! generally, he needs someone who can kind of push him out of his comfort zone!

traits

. friendly (+)
gloamingkit really, really, really cares what others think of him- and he'll do anything to make a good first impression. he doesn't care who you are, he wants you to like him. whether he does this by jokes and jests or lending a listening ear, he always is up for hanging out with anyone and meeting new cats- despite it giving him slight anxiety. he's obsessed with being the best possible cat he can be, and since he was born a loner, he doesn't mind cats outside of the clans or from a different one.

. helpful (+)
gloamingkit is the sort of kit who loves to feel loved- and he enjoys feeling like he made a difference. he is willing to do nearly anything to cheer someone up, whether that's patching up wounds with cobwebs and moss or letting them vent about their feelings. he's ready to be there for anyone who needs him, because he hopes they'd do the same for him, if given the chance. he wants to get on karma's good side.

. truthful (+)
glo finds it hard to lie to someone, as he often feels he's being eaten away by guilt when he does so. he isn't the type to be sarcastic, because a lot of times he worries it will come off as mean. if you ask him something, he'll tell you the truth. he might try and comfort you afterwards, but he is the type to tell someone what it is, not what they want to hear. he hates things being kept from him, and he wouldnt want anyone else to face something he dislikes so much.

. imaginative (
sometimes, gloamingkit can be found in his own little world. often, this is good- he can spend time with himself, and he's often coming up with good ideas because of this. the reason i put it as a neutral trait, though, is that sometimes gloomy can get carried away. he'll make fantasies of what his life might have been like if he'd stayed with his loner parents… if they'd wanted him. this often leads him to being dejected or even depressed as he realizes that's all it is- a fantasy, and his parents didn't want him.

. self-concious (
while being self-conscious keeps glo's ego and ambition in check, it often fuels him to become reclusive- sometimes he's hesitant to invite anyone to do something in fear of being rejected. he cares very much what other cats think of him, and he's often his hardest judge. he hates seeing insecurities in himself, and he always tries to keep himself in check when he's around someone he doesn't know very well.

. perfectionism (-)
not only is gloomy hard on himself, he's very hard on everything to be /perfect./ being a loner kit, he's always been stressed that he isn't good enough, sometimes even compared to his two picture-perfect siblings. he holds himself to a very high standard, which has a negative effect on him since he doesn't hold anyone else to that same line, and is willing to accept generally everyone for who they are… just not himself, not if he isn't perfect.

. repressed (-)
in order to maintain his role as the picture-perfect therapist, glo often bottles up his emotions, especially anger. this can lead him to outbursts of anger and, rarely, even violence. he tries to keep this part of him buried, but this makes it even worse… he's not ready to open up to others, but he can;t keep his emotions in check forever.

opinions

. his pelt-flowers + vines
one of the things that may catch your eye about gloomy is his pelt-flowers, and his vines, as he calls them. as both of his siblings have this, he keeps them on him at all times- a silent reminder of where they came from and who they are, a reminder they're connected. they help his insecurities, and they make him feel secure. they remind him he could be a flower- ready to bloom.

. elders
glo looks up to the elders, even more than most of the warriors. they have the best stories, and they've lived a full life- which is exactly what gloamingkit wants to be able to do. he always obeys their orders, even if they're snappy, purely because he thinks it's an impressive feat just to become that old! he hopes to one day join them, but he also dreads that- because it means they're close to death. that's the only thing gloomy doesn't enjoy about the elders… everytime he sees them could be the last time. it scares him.

. starclan and the dark forest
gloamingkit is /terrified/ of death. he has so many questions, and no one has answered them. will he be able to get into starclan, since he isn't clanborn? if not- could he survive one night in the dark forest? will he be doomed to eternity there, watching cats walk the life he never did? honestly, this is probably why gloamingkit didn't deeply consider becoming a medicine-cat… he doesn't want anything to do with these groups.

. karma
karma is one of glo's most valued beliefs. he thinks that everything happens for a reason, and that everyone gets what they deserves. of course…. there are issues with this, like why the three were abandoned, if they hadn't done anything wrong yet? he hasnt experienced much loss yet, either… so this opinion is subject to change.

. kits
gloomy absolutely loves kits! he thinks they are adorable, playful, and dreams of someday having a litter of his own. he's always up to get into mischief with them, and he enjoys their innocent, goofy demeanor. he hopes one day he can take care of his own, whether that's through adoption or having a litter!

. tarragonflair
his adopted dad is absolutely beloved to glo! he is so thankful that someone took them into shadowclan, he knows they likely would have died. he tends to call tarragonflair tarrie or tar, though, in memory and respect for his own unknown father.

. overview
honestly, ive always loved bobtail cats! if you were to look at my WCUE morphs, almost all of them have bobtails, haha! i will say i didn't know much about it- but…. well, i did today! here's an overview of what i learned ^^

when a kitten is born with a bobtail, the cat can generally get one fine, as they never had a tail- they may have worse balance than other kittens, but generally they won't have any health problems until adulthood, where bobtailed cats are more likely to get arthtitis or hip dysplisia, which can cause weakness or lameness of the hind joints.

Gloamingpaw flicked his stubby tail in frustration, stalking along the edge of the forest. He'd been looking for nearly an hour, and he was seemingly no closer to the startling he'd offered to bring back to camp. My mentor is going to be so disappointed, he thought, staring towards his paws and looking quite dejected. Maybe I'm just not cut out to be a warrior.

He growled lowly to himself, shaking his pelt to rid himself of those thoughts. Of course he could do it. Umbrapaw and Dayspringpaw were doing fine, weren't they? What made them better than him? Well… lots of things, that small, annoying voice in the back of his head argued. He frowned, his claws scraping the loose pebbles below him. That was ridiculous. Standing out here sulking wasn't going to get him anywhere now, was it? With a decisive nod, he crouched downwards, his belly fur brushing the long grass beneath him.

He stayed still. The shivelight filtering through the trees illuminated his cream-colored pelt, which wasn't ideal for stalking, but it would have to do. With any luck, the vines draped across his flank would provide the illusion he was just some sort of sandy-colored rock, smothered by ivy. He was much too fluffy for a rock, but… well, hopefully any prey wouldn't think twice about a maybe-rock when it had so much else to worry about.

Finally- there. A flicker of movement through the trees. A tawny pelt. Not a starling after all, but a squirrel. Not what he'd wanted, but food nonetheless. And… now! Once the squirrel had checked it's surroundings and buried it's head in the dirt, searching for food of it's own, Gloamingpaw pounced. His lithe frame gave him agility unknown to most of the cats of ShadowClan, and while he felt it gave him a slightly unfair advantage, it was one he needed, especially with a pelt as light as his.

The squirrel never stood a chance, it had just barely broken away from the hole it was digging when Gloamingpaw's teeth were upon it. With a quick break of it's neck, it was gone. Gloamingpaw preferred it that way- nothing should die in fear or pain, he figured. He stopped for a moment, admiring the squirrels' tiny features. It was a bit like a cat, he realized. A slim figure, padded feet, brown fur. He dropped it lightly, dipping his head not so much as to thank StarClan for the kiII, but to apologize to the squirrel.

The moment only lasted for a moment, and soon the squirrel was clutched tightly in his teeth, and he was on his way back to camp. It had taken him longer than he'd planned, but that was fine- he was satisfied with his catch, and his mind was clearer than it had been when he entered the woods. Grinning, he dropped the tawny bundle on the fresh-kiII pile and padded towards the apprentice den, his head held high.
