Down With Tinypic!
Suggestion: What if the Scratch team files a complaint to Tinypic? Instead of blacklisting Tinypic, we might potentially fix the problem from its source (and save many of the current images on Scratch from destruction
)

I think BBCode converted to HTML is cached until a post is edited. Emoticons in posts from the beta version of Scratch still try to use images from beta.scratch.mit.edu, so old posts using TinyPic would probably be fine unless they're edited. -snip-

I would support this.
Doesn't guarantee a response though.

Why not ask them to moderate the ads on their site?Suggestion: What if the Scratch team files a complaint to Tinypic? Probably? That's what advertisements are for. You wouldn't invite people to put their content on your website.Suggestion: What if the Scratch team files a complaint to Tinypic? Anyway, like TheHockeyist said, Tinyipc should moderate their advertisers, like any other good website would.

That is why I don't support. It would also mean you can't quote tinypic images. unless they're edited.

Well, well well! Malware detected!
I went to tinypic to see where their ads come from, and look what happened.

See the Avast! pop-up, that was blocking a malware infested advert, that's why the advert was shown as ‘The connection was reset’. This proves tinypic is showing malware infested adverts which possibly run drive by downloads! I would not suggest going to tinypic unless you have solid security set up!
The mal-advert is hosted at

@cheeseeaterYes, this site should not have anything to do with Scratch. Because it does not require an account, Scratchers are funneled into uploading to tinypic; who knows how many Scratchers are now infected by tinpic adverts?!

Lol. Your signature is hosted with tinypic doe. I dunno if they can place tracking cookies on us by loading images, but I'm gonna change my signature to cubeupload. “Hey you, stop running ads that you need to make enough money to survive on your site. We blocked all image hosts except yours for some reason, and now our users don't want to see ads when uploading pictures.”Suggestion: What if the Scratch team files a complaint to Tinypic? This idea doesn't seem completely ridiculous at all… Besides, it's still not clear whether removing tinypic from the whitelist will break all other images. What will most likely happen is that new tinypic pictures won't be postable, but old ones will remain unless quoted or edited.
