Option 4: The Scratch Team does absolutely nothing. ttrue…I think we discussed this before. You can't EXPECT everyone to have this extension on their browers. Not everyone has AdBlock+. Hey, why doesn't everyone just get AdBlock+ and close this topic?
Then the only things that there are are:
Option 1: Get rid of tinypic from the list. This will prevent everyone from uploading more images, but will not delete all the current images hosted.
Option 2: Man up and keep tinypic. Probably users will just have to bear with it now because they'll see it for the rest of their life.
Option 3: Get AdBlock+. Not everyone can get AdBlock+
↑ Most likely
Well that's not very optimistic… Just because the ST is busy doesn't mean that they don't fix security issues and do the important stuff…

That doesn't mean we should just give up.
Who said they're not implementing it anyway? I'm pretttttty sure that Paddle2see is getting things done, along with the rest of the team!!
And if not, I bet it'll happen soon… we aren't being ignored!

Thanks for all the good information and suggestions. Because of the concerns you brought forward, we are de-emphasizing the use of Tinypic. We're putting warnings up in documents where we mention that the site accepts it. If you know of places in Scratch or in the Forums where we mention it as an option, please bring it to my attention so we can add warnings.
I don't think it makes sense to remove it from the whitelist though. We have a *lot* of links to the site in our forum posts - removing the site from the whitelist would be incredibly annoying when those posts were edited.

@Paddle2See
Thanks! This is a step in the right direction. And I can see while your points with removing tinypic instantly and completely would horrify Scratch users, perhaps we can gradually de-emphasize it over time, and perhaps eliminate the majority of it altogether. In the far future, we might be able to rid of it entirely. It might take months or years, but I'm sure we can do it.

I think a good idea would be when you go to submit your post, some Javascript runs and checks if you have BBcode with a Tinypic image and then it could display the caution saying that it's not recommended to use Tinypic.I'm going to leave it open for a bit longer to see if anybody knows of places on Scratch that recommend Tinypic so we can get it out of there - or add warnings.Sounds good! “Alcoholism is a broad term for problems with alcohol, and generally refers to alcohol addiction, which is the compulsive and uncontrolled consumption of alcohol.”
I don't know what you think is pro-alcoholism but the term you're using is wrong.

1. Tinypic has to be an authority for it to be a mutiny.A mutiny is overthrowing a certain person or group of authority. We are overthrowing tinypic as our image provider.Do you even know what a mutiny is.What do you mean by that? the itopic for bbcode help was changed to reflect the topics paranoid accusations anyway, i don't know why you guys are still arguing about stuff
Oh, I see it. Well, so be it! We are spreading the word of the Tinypic mutiny!
Seriously.
And keep a respectful tone in your internet voice (be respectful to others and don't say stuff like “do you even” or “seriously”). When I read that, it almost sounded rude.
2. You have to be a worker in Tinypic for it to be a mutiny.
Lol.
