Why did Scratch have its color changed from blue to purple?
On 28th June, 2023, Scratch changed its color from the iconic blue to the disliked purple. This change was supposed to happen on the 27th, but for some reason it changed on the 28th. On 2 July, I saw a post on a #BRINGBACKBLUE campaign project that said, “the change happened because color blind people are less used to blue than purple” so that's probably why.

Why did Scratch have its color changed from blue to purple?
Because of 2 laws in America:These aren't really laws, but rather standards that some companies have to follow, while most are just recommended to comply. Here's what ChatGPT has to say:
ADA
WCAG
For example, in the United States, websites that are owned or operated by federal agencies are required to comply with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, which incorporates WCAG 2.0 Level AA as the accessibility standard. Additionally, some states and local governments have their own accessibility laws that may apply to certain websites within their jurisdiction.Since Scratch is targeting nearly every audience around the world, they have to follow this law
Furthermore, in some countries, there may be legislation or regulations that require websites of public sector organizations or certain industries to be accessible. For instance, the European Union has the Web Accessibility Directive, which mandates that public sector websites and mobile applications comply with WCAG 2.1 Level AA.

no, it’s because the purple color has more contrast and is easier to distinguish for certain groups of colorblind people as a function of the reduction in colors they can see.

But you can choose any colour you want like costumise it I mean black would be better than blue and purpleThey run off donations, they don't slam an ad into your face or a sponsor straight into your eyes.
At best they have small collaborations such as the LEGO extension(THE EDITOR ONE — Not forbidden word.) which aren't really considerable as ads.
This should be discussed in banana439monkey's topic about it, not here — This post has been answered.
ST will probably take a long time if banana439monkey's suggestion will be implemented, as again — They run on donations, not sponsors, not ads.
