if you are talking about a scrolling background, then this is the script you want to use then:

when green flag clicked
set [x scroll v] to [0]
forever
if <(x scroll) = [438]> then 
set [x scroll v] to [0]
  

else
change [x scroll v] by [2]
end
set x to (join [-] (x scroll))
end

note that if you change the speed, you will also need to change the x position to reset. to get the number, it is 480 - x scroll.
