Bad Word Detector (is INCORRECT)
OK, more than half of everyone here has had a problem with the bad word detector. Many times there isn't a single bad word or curse in their, especially when there's a link in the comment. What I'm suggesting is that it shows what “word” you typed that it is detecting. That way, at least you KNOW what in the world is wrong with a perfectly fine comment.

I support.
EDIT June 14, 2016: I posted this a long time ago, but now I don't support because of the reasons below. I think when I said “I support” I was thinking that it would show you what you said that it was detecting. But now I see.
I have changed to No Support.

Support, but it's not as much of a problem as you make it out to be.

Support. I've had a problem with this before when I was trying to abbreviate a long title.

Support! The other day, in my project I was trying to say that the Pen blocks were fast. If you use the present, the sentence was: “In Scratch, the pen is fast!”. And that got flagged… :-/ It took me a while to understand why…

Support. What would the message be?
I just realized, what if a young kid accidentally had a bad word he didn't know about between words, and now this thing points it out to them? “Mommy, what's (bad word here)?” Then the kid would be scarred for life or something.
I think that's one of the reasons Scratch team intends not to put something like this in.

Support. What would the message be?True… but it would still be useful.

what if it detects something wrong and then puts a big bad word up into a kid's face?
(that's pretty much what voltagegames was saying)

Support.
I feel that if a child doesn't know what it means, the parents can tell them to never say it. If it points out the little things and they understand what they did wrong, they would learn more from it. As long as they understand what the flag means, it could copy what they said, and put the bad word, or what it thinks is a bad word in something like Bold or Italics ~Fire

Support. What would the message be?That IS a good point, but, like Firestar said, if they don't know what it means, they know just not to say it. If they ask they're parents, hopefully they won't tell them what it means. That would be the parent's fault.

Also, to answer you're question about what the message would be, it would have a link in it, a useful one. I had a really useful link in the comment that I didn't post because the bad word detector stopped me. At least with this, I'd know what's wrong.

Maybe the bad word detector is broken so that the kid doesn't know if it's a bad word or not, thus somewhat saving them.
