I recently found a scratch team account I've never heard, or seen before, and I found it odd, they don't seem like a scratch team member, and their comments are very, odd, the only comments I could find from this user were comments with two variants of a username, I think they might be a test account.
I'm not sure if this counts as naming and shaming, but I am curious to know- is this user a test or scrath team member account I've never seen before?

I believe they were testing something about the featured projects row. The ST member behind this stated it on their profile.

I've heard of this “I am your guy” account that's something similar, but the main difference is that catscratch is supposedly an ST member while IAYG is just a regular scratcher. I think both might be ARGs, but while IAYG focuses on their youtube account for the ARG, catscratch's account is the ARG

This still doesn't fully explain things. For example, why would they use an animation meme as a test? Why does a supposedly english account have a Japanese animation meme? (according to the fact that the other “Doesn't Work” animation memes on this site are in Japanese) Why would said animation meme's original song talk about depression?? WHY ARE THERE OTHER PROJECTS USING THIS SAME MEME???

If you look in the audio of Thumbnail Test’s backdrop, there’s some weird recordings… Maybe you could put them into one of those audio visualisers?

“[YT2mp3” is a remix of Mario music(?), but we might have to find what specific remix and what original song. AHA Music was no help.

They just turned comments off on their profile. I think the original answer was probably just the right one (featured test account).

Yes. That was a hack though. Look up “scratch front page hack make scratch burger” on youtube, and click on the video that's by a channel called “AIT Archive”

1. I suppose any project would have worked just as well. If you don't remember the project named TUTORIAL, it was just a bunch of sprites floating around the screen.
   
2. I would assume they did not create these projects themselves as the animation meme has over 600 blocks. What I think happened is that they remixed a project and never acknowledged it. I wouldn't be surprised if there's a better explanation though, the ST usually abides by their own rules.

I managed to contact SBT at the height of their reign through an external site that they previously had listed on a foruming tool. What they did merely took advantage of how the front paging system worked and they did it by creating thousands of bots to like a few projects. This would not have been possible with macros and Python scripts and I bet if they really did make an account of theirs an ST member, they would lose access quickly. catscratch096 has been part of the ST for a while.
