A 2-year analysis of my account
It has been about 2 years since I have been doing detailed logging of my account's statistics, including projects.
I have a whole set of Python scripts to do this. Most run on my computer and are roughly daily (though frequency is adjusted based on whether I need more detail or not, sharing a project for example makes hourly stats worth doing).
I have been doing analyses throughout that time and some have also included other users' public stats.
Here's one of them (hosted on Tableau): https://public.tableau.com/app/profile/m.i6672/viz/ScratchProjectStats/LVRvsViews
Love/view ratio is an important metric for determining the success of a project. Views are simply counting how many clicks of the green flag so doesn't properly capture how good a project is. Loves and favourites on the other hand do indicate how good it is. I usually ignore favourites since they are pretty similar to loves although there are outliers (as can be seen in the above link).
Now, here are some stats for my own projects:

Notes:
Not all projects are included. It's really only projects since Truck Driving Challenge (shared 2 years ago), plus any other projects of significance (such as music visualiser which was featured, and CPC which is my most viewed project).
Now here's my follower count:

Notes:
There is a difference between visible followers and api followers because the API counts all users including those who have deleted their account. The difference is about 700. Also, most of this data is not detailed because I only logged this recently. The stats were gathered from comments I've previously made, screenshots, and the Wayback Machine.
Here's a closeup (note that I have just shared a project which is why it jumps at the end):

That's all I have to share for now, but I do have more. I may share them later. It is hard to share everything on scratch, Google Drive for example is disallowed. Most of my discussions and sharing have occurred within scratch groups offsite.
The final thing I have to say is that I have also logged trending for the past few months. Here's an average of their thumbnails…
