Questions about scratch community guidelines answered.
Hi everyone, in this post you will find questions and rules about scratch answered and explained along with some examples.
But, before I move on please do not break the community guidelines, blockspam, or derail this topic. Thank you.
Question: Why have I been banned from chat after not having said anything rude?
Answer: The chat detection AI can mistake certain comments for mean ones even though it was just your everyday nice comment. If you are wondering how I know this, it has happened to me many times. I hope this helps you understand that scratch does not always function properly and may do this to you.It may even unfairly ban you but just as reminder follow the guidelines and be careful about what you post.
Example: none possible.
Question: What do I do if see anything against the scratch community guidelines?
Answer: Now first off, before you spam click the report button, investigate and make sure you are reporting for a good reason because scratchers will go complaining which can be very annoying.Once you have solid proof Ask the scratcher to remove his comment and/or project if possible in a kind way. If the person denies and continues to post this content then you should most definitely report them.
Example: Person sending mean comments or sharing inappropriate projects. Investigate, ask kindly, and report if needed.
Question What to do if people spam the report button on your games, profile or studios repeatedly for no reason but to be rude or annoy you.
Answer: Go send an email to the scratch team to see what they can do. Of course you may not get a reply immediately considering the amount of scratchers there are but, the scratch team is here to help if you need it.
ExamplePerson reports your studio and makes fun. Go tell the scratch team and they should come with a solution soon. Where to go to contact the scratch team if needed: Help@scratch.mid.edu
Question: Why do I see many offensive comments on scratch and nothing is done?
Answer: scratchers find multiple ways to mute themselves and not get banned.
Example: instead of saying discord, people may say dizcord, discourse … and many other things to to not get caught (unmoderated chat). They space out words so it thinks you are bypassing or even place swears inside other words to cover up the swear.
Question: What content should I post about?
Answer: Content that should be posted about on scratch is not just a bunch of random projects to make people laugh. Of course you can still make projects like that but you could also create projects that help the world and that ae not made for laughs. And same goes for studios.
Example: You could create a help save the animals studio or a project that says having conditions does not make you completely different from others.
This would be the end of my questions asked and answered for now. Go have a great time, be safe and enjoy yourselves!! As usual, peace.

Questions about scratch community guidelines answered.
Hi, I got a few followers in scratch, it emailed me about being a scratcher. When I click on it, it tells me to read a few community guidelines, but it doesn't let me continue? If you can answer my question that would be great. I also have tried it on multiple devices.

Question: Why have I been banned from chat after not having said anything rude?the filterbot is not an ai, nor can it ban you automatically. only human moderators can ban users.

What do I do if see anything against the scratch community guidelines?if someone breaks the community guidelines you should always report them, don't wait until they refuse to remove their post.

The same thing is happening to me where I can't move on in the community guidelines. I've tried on multiple devices as well but there is no button to move on, and all there is, is the button to do the process later. Please reach back to me.

"Hello! It's great that you want to help out other Scratchers. However, I think we have enough guides in the forums at the moment. Please feel free to welcome new Scratchers on the group welcoming topic or on individual topics created by New Scratchers.
Other places that can always use more helpful Scratchers like you, are the “”Help With Scripts“” and “”Questions About Scratch“” areas - please use them as designed, by responding to topics created by folks with problems to solve
Finally, a really good place for Scratch guides is the Scratch Wiki - check it out and see if it's something you might like to work on. They have a number of guides - and great organization."
