What is 4.0?

Its not coming out anytime soon as the Scratch Team is still working on 3.0 and it would be useless to release 4.0 when they are still working on 3.0, and the Scratch Team has no plans for 4.0.

Some people say that it will happen in the glorious year of 2025 AD, however, I find this unlikely because it's 2023 and most of the pages are still stuck in the past (2.0-land).

The ST will never create 4.0 if they can avoid it. The only reasons the previous versions were made were because either Scratch was becoming outdated, or something that Scratch relied on became obsolete. Thus, with 3.0 well supported by every browser with nothing that seems likely to go EOL, it hugely unlikely that 4.0 will exist at all.

Besides, consider how bamboozled @Medians would be!
