Ok, I don't know if it was just me, but I've had a few people say they've shared similar situations. Basically, it's where the Question Mark costume appears when the server fails to download the costumes of the sprites. I was working on it today, and of course, when I came back to my project almost half of the sprites were replaced with the horrifying image of the Question Mark.

Here is what the Question Mark looks like:


I know this was a major problem on April 8th, 2021. But the Scratch Team said that they think they fixed it. Well, it's still here…

If you know how to help, PLEASE let me know! The project that I've made is almost done and the Question Marks have “erased” around half of it. I will say I have not saved the sprites, so the ?s are not technically saved.

This bugs has never been fully fixed for me as this continues to happen when I load larger projects.

Here’s a few tips.

- If you are loading someone else’s project and this happens, reload the project and it should be fixed.

- If you notice that this happens to one of your project, do NOT save it, else every affected costume will be replaced permanently by the question mark.

- Every time you stop working on a project, create a back up copy of the project. If something goes wrong later, you’ll still be able to go back to these back up projects and you will avoid losing everything.

- You can also work on Turbowarp. Turbowarp does not seem to have this problem.

It only appears for me, when I have no internet, did you have a good connection then?

This often happens to me opening 2.0 projects in the 3.0 editor, which I doubt you were doing.

My internet is a little wonky, but I think we had internet yes.
