Is there a way to view deleted studios or their fragments?
Hi! Recently, a question has popped up discussing whether or not it was possible to view shared projects from a deleted account. Reading it has sparked similar questions for me. I'd like to ask: Is it possible to view any parts of studios that have been hidden from the site or deleted?
For example, studio 7829215 (Captured RP) is no longer accessible by regular Scratchers. However, it's possible to view the thumbnail image of the studio here, even after it was deleted: https://uploads.scratch.mit.edu/get_image/gallery/7829215_1000x1000.png
If the image of the studio was saved, surely other elements of it must still exist. The curator list, for example, or its description. Hopefully some comments from the studio. Captured RP is the studio on which I met some of my favorite people on this here website. If one of those old comment chains could be opened up again, it'd be not only a memory come alive, but a dream come true.
I've already checked a little of the Scratch API for clues, sadly to no avail.
Do any of you know if what I'm asking is possible? To access any parts of a deleted studio? The image can be saved… can the rest of it??
Thank you for reading and have a blessed day.

Strangely, the Activity API and Comments API have different results.
The Activity API, among others, relays "Not Found.“
The Comments API relays ”Forbidden."
Forbidden… Does this mean some people can access it, but not others? The Scratch Team, maybe? Either way, it doesn't show anything for me.
I don't have malicious intents trying to unearth this studio. I'd just like to read through the conversations of my friends and I when we were young and silly. I don't know them for real, all over a screen, but they're still cool to me nevertheless

honestly there probably is a path in order to viewing permanently deleted studios.
Not for any of us, though. ST only probably.
And about the icons/thumbnails of Studios, no matter what, the icon remains saved.
Just like with profiles.
For example, this guy, andresmh (First user on Scratch, or this is a placeholder)
Studios and Users still share/have an ID, just to easen moderation I assume.

That'd sound like a privacy vulnerability about as much as turbowarp viewing unshared projects would be.

I don't know why ST even allows us to view the get_image parts of Scratch.

I don't know why ST even allows us to view the get_image parts of Scratch.I presume seeing the images of unshared projects / studios is a lot less bad than seeing the unshared projects / studios themselves.

Considering andresmh was the first guy on Scratch (theorized, atleast.)
The first project was still visitable in Turbowarp, which was about telling you about the nearest Ice cream shop or something. (i have questions on how that works)
And you can still view the thumbnail. ScratchCat at the end of the road.
Or it's a different project. My memory is too bad.
Stuff like that is much less dangerous, except for the project part.

It also could be somewhat okay considering that the only way to access such images is by direct link (I think). It's entirely possible for a studio thumbnail to be inappropriate, but if it's not readily accessible, then it's probably fine. (I think the Scratch Team can even remove studio thumbnails, which may change things.)I don't know why ST even allows us to view the get_image parts of Scratch.I presume seeing the images of unshared projects / studios is a lot less bad than seeing the unshared projects / studios themselves.
Anyway, it certainly isn't intended to be able to view information about a studio after it is deleted. Any methods which can be used should probably be directed to Contact Us rather than anywhere public.

Our bad then. get_image should be attempted to be blocked into just the ST team though. It also could be somewhat okay considering that the only way to access such images is by direct link (I think). God knows how it gets used. I literally wanted to mess around in looking at PFPs and saw that after user 200, the size of the PFP's increased.
So it really should be attempted to be blocked honestly.
