I do not get it.
Why people hate these type of messages.
Is because there is actually no activity in that studio?
I just want to know why people hate these messages.

Because usually when a scratcher gets a message they think if someone commented on their project or replied to their comment, instead, they get treated to a studio activity message about a studio they don't care about

because it clutters your messages
and when you have a high notification count you get excited only for most (if not all) of the messages to be studio activities

Because when you get 10 messages but then all of it is something this one person did in a huge studio, what you did on your own studio, or some studio you forgot you were even part of.

People want to view messages because it is informing them that another user has interacted with them or one of their projects. If a studio activity notification was received, it means that a user interacted with a studio the user was in. The user expected to respond to someone's comment or to see that someone liked one of their projects, but instead they were just notified that something happened in a studio they don't care about.

The messages aren't very helpful and they clutter your messages because almost everything is considered “new activity”

Its because when people open their messages, then hope they get a follow, or comment messages, but, what did they got?
Studio activity messages. Me too, When I got studio activity messages, I feel very mad.

Most people hate it because all their messages are just studio activity and not what they usually get from profiles, studios, forum activity and/or more.

Said messages can appear when nothing happens, or when something does happen that you really don't care about. That's why.
