SCRATCH DOES NOT SAVE???!!!!

I WORKED ON A PROJECT FOR 2 HOURS AND PRESSED THE SAVE BUTTON ABOUT 40K TIMES AND THEN THE NEXT DAY I OPEN UP SCRATCH AND EVERYTHING IS GONE. HOW CAN I RETRIEVE MY PROGRESS??!??!?!?!?!?

Please be constructive. Even if the OP is yelling, it's because they lost everything in their project. Rather than mocking them, try to help them out respectfully and constructively. Would you like it if you lost everything and instead of helping you get your stuff back everyone mocked you?

This certainly is an interesting problem. Let's discuss probable causes:

It's not because they were signed out. The OP claims to have clicked the save button many times.

The project could have been overwritten, a less plausible but likely solution. But as to how exactly we don't know, as you'd need an outdated version of the project open in another tab, and after saving the most recent project tab you'd have to save the outdated project tab.

Someone could have hacked your account and overwrote the project. This is very unlikely, but would explain a lot. If you feel that this is the case, change your account password immediately and don't tell anyone.

And finally, it could simply be a glitch. Not much to do there.

If you had saved the project to your device at any point, that's the only way of recovering it(you could use contact us and ask the ST to revive it, but I don't think they can do that). Upload the saved sb3 file of the project you were working on, and you should have at least some of your progress back.
