Hi! When I tried to create a recording, the pop-up with the red button appeared and I pressed it, nothing wrong. Until when I started speaking, instead of the little bumpy lines, it was just one straight line. I tried refreshing, logging out and then back in, etc. I need some help soon, bc my project has a deadline!

Wait, do you mean the red button that it turns into after clicking the black one to record?
Also, did you give Scratch access to the microphone, and is the microphone on?

I mean the red button that activates the recording and yes, the microphone is on

Also, I mean your computer microphone. And does Scratch have access to your microphone, and can you hear any audio when playing it?

yes yes i did all of that turning on and all and no, i cant hear anything when playing it. when recording, all it shows is a straight red line. and when i listen to it after recording, it plays nothing.

(btw, i use the scratch website, not the app)

Does your computer have a functioning microphone?
