The Future of Scratch commenting for 3.0! (Made by project! Please read the instructions!!)
The Future of Scratch commenting for 3.0! A new Scratch Comment Rework!
If you believe that this is a dupe of another suggestion, reply in a new post. I haven't found anything similar when I suggested it before.
Original project concept and mock-up: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/834474100
This is my improved and revised OP of the suggestion. I feel like it needed a revision because it didn't make a lot of sense and it was a bit confusing to others.
Any feedback is appreciated.
Adding this new feature would be great for commenting purposes with having comments load in on the bottom locked rather than scrolling up to comment instead.
Edit from 2024: So glad that I found this suggestion after so long.

Well, I cannot tell if what exactly this is meant to be about, but if this is private chatting, then that’s rejected.

Nope, it has nothing to do with that and is nowhere near that.

I don't get what the project is supposed to be about. The formatting? But I don't want to scroll up endlessly just to look at a users' project.

I've went through a lot of time and effort for making this topic and researched a lot, and I have noticed issues with comments recently, so that's why I am suggesting this.

It's maintenance for comments for 3.0 + 2.0 pages (I chose both because it would fix the issue with 3.0 pages as well), I saw recent comment glitches and most comments can't be see a whole lot, but if we have a transparent boarder for the comment box and if it looks like this, then commenting will be a lot easier than the old way around.

(#6)I still don't understand, sorry lol. So basically, you want it so the comment box is transparent for an easier way to comment?I don't get what the project is supposed to be about. The formatting? But I don't want to scroll up endlessly just to look at a users' project.

Yeah, I also updated the project so that I can specifically tell you what I mean.

If you see comments back of the transparency, then this'll look a bit confusing…
Type Stuff is the user typing stuff, the comment is an ad to whatever.

Yeah, I was confused because of what you stated was there inspiration for this idea, and the device I’m using refuses to open projects.Well, I cannot tell if what exactly this is meant to be about, but if this is private chatting, then that’s rejected.

So, it takes features from Discard?(replace the a with o) If so, as a user of the program it sounds like a great idea!

I haven’t quite figured out the issues with this concept, so I will be making adjustments to it later.

I should make adjustments to that part of the comment field area, I’ll fix it later when I have the chance.
Thanks for the feedback!

I’m very sorry, I meaning to state that I am not affiliated this with private chatting at all, and it completely has nothing to do with it.

Oh, I know exactly what you're talking about now! The point is that, on Discord, you can scroll through comments to read them, and in particular you can just write and send a comments while still reading old messages (the box that lets you type in a comment always appears at the bottom of the screen). On the other hand, if you're scrolling through old comments on Scratch, and you want to write a new comment, you have to scroll all the way up the page in order to get to the box that lets you type in a comment. Does that sound correct?
Are you usually annoyed and bothered by how much junk just messes up commenting for you? Are you tired of receiving messages in very unorganized comments currently? Not particularly, I don't have much of an issue with scrolling up the page.
I give you an amazing concept of a new way to commenting! It might look like a disc chat a little and might feel the same and some might not like this but their chatting system is way easier to handle than Scratch's, and my suggestion is that we should make comments look like this!Remember that Scratch is not intended to be a chat program. Comments are used to supplement and encourage project-making/viewing.
