Y'know when I first started watching Andor I thought the twist was that Bix was Cassian's sister.

His sister is actually Chewbacca, did you not watch the Holiday Special?

Rebels and Andor taking place around the same time is so funny to me. The tonal different is hysterical!

Like try to picture Zeb Orrelios hearing about the Ghorman Massarce and then somberly looking to Chooper

We have his canonical reaction to Mon's speech.

Right before we got to that episode where she gives the speech, after the Ghorman massacre, I was thinking “WAIT… isn't the speech Mothma gives in Rebels about the Ghorman Massacre?” and the rest of the family was like “WAIT IS IT?” and then my dad looked up that scene in Rebels and we were like “OOOOh. so that is coming soon >:]”

I don't have an issue with it, Star Wars is great because it can explore the timeline in unique ways in different styles.

Just the tonal thing of Rebel having Guardians-misfit adventures and then Andor is Rudyard Kipling.

I'm not entirely sure Andor is Rudyard “author of a poem called The White Man's Burden” Kipling.

is the Star Wars anti-nazi messaging kinda broken, because who are the persecuted people? the rebels? that makes no sense. in nazi/fascist european countries you had rebel factions as well, but obviously they weren't always Jewish/LGBTQ people. I know the empire is untrustworthy of aliens but the movies never go all-in in showing the aliens are persecuted, feared, and hated. obviously the empire is a fascist government but they shouldve gone all in on that because right now I'm arguing with a trump supporter with a star wars profile picture and I have to explain the message of their favorite movie to them…

“I thought, what could make someone give up a devotion to what is basically a religious entity, to give up being a Jedi?” Hamill began. “Well, the love of a woman. So he falls in love with a woman. He gives up being a Jedi. They have a child together. At some point the child, as a toddler, picks up an unattended lightsaber, pushes the button and is killed instantly. The wife is so full of grief, she kills herself.” - Mark Hamill

I have no words.

That works way better than Luke having the vague thought of killing Kylo before coming to his senses.
