My project isn't showing up in the search results?

My browser / operating system: Windows NT 10.0, Chrome 111.0.0.0, No Flash version detected

I have a chatbot project that currently has nearly 20,000 views and is on the front page. However, whenever I search for “chatbot” using the search bar, it doesn't show up. Even if I type out the full name, it still appears low on the list, and even has an old version of the project's name. The project was released over 2 weeks ago, so the search engine should have caught up by now. Is this a bug?

The name of the project is Sigma | Chatbot. Here's what it looks like:

Programmer in C++, C#, Python, GDScript, and, of course, Scratch. I've used Unreal Engine, Godot Engine, and I am a Godot Engine contributor. Been programming for longer than I haven't, and still enjoy it. ;)

I'm also pretty good at Tetris. I'm S+ rank on Tetr.io.

For me it does show up. I think it’s because you used a weird font in the title for “chatbot’’ try searching “sigma” and the game will show up.

I want it to show up under “chatbot”, though. I've tagged it as such. Do I need to change the title to not have those unusual characters?

Yes these characters are the problem. Replace ᴄʜᴀᴛʙᴏᴛ with chatbot and the project should show up normally in a few days.

Then it just hasn't indexed the new name in the search results.

medians: I knew it would happen. I was the one who started it last year.
Fun_Cupcake_i81: Well then if you didn't want it back maybe you need to time travel to last year and fix that

Oh wait if you could time travel I think we all know exactly when you would go-

Several days after renaming the project, and it still hasn't indexed the new name, or even bothered to put the chatbot on the search results. Also, another project of mine that I renamed nearly 3 weeks ago still has the old name in the search results.

Interesting, there might be a bug that causes the indexer to never come back to your project once it is shared. This might also explain other bugs with the explore page. If after a few weeks the name is still the same, then there’s a problem with the indexer.

Resharing might fix the problem but I’m not sure.

I won't try resharing the old one, since I don't want the publishing date to be overwritten, but I'll try resharing the new one. I'll post the results here in a day or two.

I did some test and resharing immediately changes the name. There is currently a big problem that causes the algorithm to not look back at the project once they are shared to update the name and the stats of the project. So if you share a project with a certain name, it will keep this name forever until it is reshared. I think this is connected to other issues with the explore page like the reshare glitch.

Yeah it's happening to one of my broken projects LOL:

it used to be called “yeah can someone fix it LOL” (it broke because the project.json had the sprite below everything else)
Not sure if this is a new thing though.

Update:

Unsharing the project for 10 minutes then resharing it caused search to re-index it. It now shows up!

Good! Yeah it seems like the Scratch Team has stopped (voluntarily or not) the code in charge of updating names and how trending projects are once they are shared. I think this what is causing the reshare glitch. I wonder if they are aware of this problem.
