I was on Scratch chatting with my friends, and then suddenly it said I was posting personal info. I was definitely posting nothing personal, but I was paused from commenting and posting forums for 5 minutes. Why did Scratch detect this as personal information?

The filter can give false positives sometimes because your comment likely had some type of keyword that triggered it. Maybe you said something like, “my name is,” or, “live at”. Can you give some context?

Well… its not the end of the world. this happened to me too.


You get basically paused from commenting or posrting forum topics for five minutes because Scratch thinks you sayed personal data (Like adress or age)

And Scratch does not want you to share your personal information with other scratchers. (Thats in the rules of Privacy and Policy)

So be careful scratch…..

I know why it happened, but it's just not clear why Scratch detected that I was sharing personal info. I definitely wasn't in any way, and I don't think I used any key words that showed that I was.

Don't worry about it, being muted once or twice won't get you banned. Especially if the mute is a mistake.

I guess that's not excactly what I said… I said something more like Can you message me on my profile page on your other account
