It would be nice to have Bots (like scratchers but don’t have a login and DO have the ScratchTeam status) bots added (they can respond to comments, post and more).

If i was a bot it would look like:

They are made by the ScratchTeam. They can help with moderation and more!
The first bot could be ScratchBot or DiscoBot

Most of the time bots are used for spamming. But if the bot can do good things. Like give good messages and help. Then that's good. Semi-support.

I don't think bots are allowed regardless.

OP: Your suggestions are far too general to grasp any real problems. What kind of moderation would the bot(s) handle? Auto-moderation or just ST-level commands to easily ban people?

This actually could be extremely good for studios in some way, for making projects im not really sure how that's gonna go. But the ST probably won't add bots or let bots be used *due to some bots that could spam the servers*

Doesn’t the api already do this? So basically you are just asking for them to allow automatic comments using the api?

They said the Scratch Team, but I don’t get how this would really be that useful, especially since they have to review the reports to know if it is false or not. And if this was automatic I’m pretty sure there would be pretty much only false positives.

I mean i agree it’s kinda stupid that you aren’t allowed to make automatic comments.
Maybe as long as the bot follows the same rules as users than it can be allowed

They should be able to be made by all users, only with ST manual approval.

FYI, an API is an overarching interface for servers and clients. So while you can use existing API wrappers to build a bot, it's not as integrated as what the OP could theoretically be suggesting (maybe not sure)

Support. I would love it if I could say “$messages griffpatch” and get a response with Griffpatch's message count.
