Making a website but don't know where to start? CLICK HERE

Are you planning on making a website? You are at the right place!

Start at the basics!

You could go to a website maker and try making a website there! Or you could just use HTML… But that may be ahrder

Get tips from others
Make a post on the forums about it and say I am making a website…

Just making like a simple Website?
That may not be hard! Just simply getting a website maker is more easier and better and sticking to the subdomain

Now… Try! Try! Or learn!
everybody will be here to help!

Note: HTML is fairly easy, and gives you more control.
You can host and code the site through replit, which is free and a good option IMO.

Agreed, they are clearly uneducational and uncustomizable.

Because they aren't designed to be educational or customizable. Site builders are for those who don't want to work on their website all day. They want to do a couple clicks, setup their site, setup their store. They want it to be set and forget. And since they just want to get the information out to the user, and don't want to mess with CSS and stuff. They use site builders. Those who want more get more involved with the underlying language.s

lol so true, they give you a crappy domain that is so long that it's not remberable, i used Wix and i had an account since 2021 (or 2020?) and for good, deleted my account because i want to control EVERYTHING I WANT and because of GitHub (Evan) and Replit (The Cooler Evan).

Story done.

github is going to be a better option like 99% of the time

this, replit is a terrible option (their cold starts are like a minute)
if you have a cloudflare account already, cloudflare pages is another good option, or if you use Next.js specifically you should probably use Vercel

Using a website maker is the worst thing you can do. You learn nothing and many of them create invalid HTML.

no they don't? website creators aren't terrible, they're actually pretty great for smaller businesses where you can't get someone to create a whole website - they just don't give you as much control as a custom-made website and typically cost more

Wix, which I once used, does depending on what you count as invalid HTML. Wix pages also don't support old browsers and aren't ‘handheld friendly’.
