Scratch Wiki Article & Archived Forums
Recently, I decided to go back to the Scratch Wiki to see if any changes needed to be done. After I clicked “Random Article”, I came across the Java Player article and noticed that under History, there wasn't anything about how the Java Player was discontinued (or replaced by the Flash Player). So, I was going to update it, though I also wanted to include the date that it was discontinued. Does anyone remember that date by chance?
Also, there have been several times in the near past where I would've liked to have looked back at the archived forums. Does anyone know the link to it?
With regards,
ErnieParke

Scratch Wiki Article & Archived Forums
Ahhh…. I see now. I always thought that the archived forums would have been put up by now. Hopefully they'll be up soon. The archived forums are not released yet.
And maybe you could say that Java “died” at the same day that Scratch 2.0 was released, which was in May, 9th…
As for the Java Player dying, it'd actually be on May 6th (the day Scratch went down) that it died, and code can't die when it wasn't alive to begin with. Because of those two facts, plus what BoltBait said, I won't add it in that way, though thanks for the idea!

I should've thought of that, though thanks for catching that little error! I'll still update the Java player article a bit sometime today or tomorrow, though I'll no longer say that it's died. As I understand it, the Java player still exists. It will no longer be updated.
It remains as a way to support all the projects that were “embedded” in other sites using the auto-generated embed code.

this topic.Wonderful! I'll be stopping by your archive sometime soon to see if I can find a thread about the Flash Player becoming the official one. If you want to access threads from the old forums, check out
