Welcome to Goldrush Springs, where new opportunities await! You're hired by Nugget Man to be a miner for Nugget Man Mining Co…. but perhaps things don't go exactly as planned…

this is nugget man's gold nugget mine: heart of gold! it's a game with elements of clickers, rpgs, visual novels, and bullet hells, all rolled into one, with a story that can change depending on your choices

oo, cool! out of curiosity, had you started working on ch. 2 yet by the time ch. 1 was released?

I unfortunately haven’t had the time to completely play through the first chapter. I love it so far, but I’m kind of sad that Skye doesn’t have a fork-and-spoon pirate hat anymore
is there a lore reason for that to be gone

i have the story for the whole game planned in advance but i just started making the project a few days ago–

i don't think so– on the contrary, i'd think adding mechanics would keep things fresh, as long as they're not too hard to learn! i'm excited to see what you end up coming up with!

no actually– this is a system inspired by paper mario 64's badges (and hollow knight charms and bug fables medals and a whole bunch of similar mechanics also inspired by pm badges) :0

there are tokens you can collect, by equipping them they can have all sorts of neat effects but, you can only equip them if you have enough free token points

ohhhh that makes sense, i remember you mentioning something like that! i love hollow knight's charm system, so i'm excited to see this feature in action! is there going to be synergy between tokens like in hollow knight? (ie. certain combinations buff each other or provide special effects)

yes! effects from different tokens will stack, and you can theoretically make combinations that are powerful in one specific way if you're willing to give up your slots for it–

completely different universe with different lore, but happens to have some of the same characters
