Y'know, plain and simple, I would love it if there was some kind of menu designated for layers!

I dunno, the pictures are kind of self-explanatory. What do you guys think?

What do you guys think?Honestly I think it's pretty good. Cool idea. Maybe there should be some sort of layout/list that clearly shows which sprites are in which layers, just so you can see it all at once. It may prevent confusion (“Which sprite is in layer 3 again?”).

If you have a way to see what's in what layer, then, yeah, this would be an amazing idea! It will help with larger projects a lot!

I like that idea! I'll add some new mockups to the OP.

really good idea, although maybe not next to the stop button, I would put it between the “show” and “size” boxes under the stage.
(and extra points because I don't know of a browser extension with this feature)

Lol, I originally suggested something like this for a certain scratch browser extension but it got lost in the depths of Github. So I'm suggesting it here!

This is definitely going to be useful, but what if there's like 200 clones?

If there are 200 clones, bluntly I don't think you have optimized your game well enough.

I do see your concerns, though. Maybe there can be a little toggle to see the clones?
Edit: Updated the mockups.

I support because even though layer blocks already exist, they aren't as simple and visual as the type you are proposing.

where would this be? it cant be where the x and y and sprite names are because those are specific to the sprite, not all of them. this could be placed in the bar where “file” and “edit” are tho :0

maybe instead of “Clone of Sprite (___)” just do “(___)'s clone”but its uniform with the “create clone of ()” block. also the first one just makes more sense to me idk why.

I believe this would be helpful for those with many sprites using many different layers, as I can see this could get very confusing if this wasnt a feature

Test, for some reason the pages for this seem to be broken

It wouldn't have been useful only if you realize how confusing it will be with many sprites and you just have to layer all of them at once.

Finally, something that will solve my layering issues. There should also be layer labels so the go-back/forward block can be more valuable and easy to use.
