Minecraft Topic III: My mom says it's nice!
The solution to the “two week Minecraft phase”:
Have multiple “phases” consecutively.
Basically, instead of just doing something like one world or one server then stopping it, you try to look for different things, so, for example, you can do stuff like doing a vanilla world, but you also try looking at some minigames servers to try that you can play on after you get bored of your vanilla world, then you could do other things like modded Minecraft, different servers, and different challenges, so that you can suck yourself into Minecraft for as long as possible without getting bored and proving those people wrong who say Minecraft is just a two week phase.

When you think about it, some features for Minecraft that could have potentially added to the gameplay have been rejected because of mob votes. I think that adding the iceologer to Minecraft could have potentialy added a new item or something along with it, and the iceologer itself could have added more difficulty to the game.
But we didn't vote for it because dream said to vote for the glow squid.

Minecraft Java is getting another improvement with the latest drop! Chat messages can be saved when you die in the middle of typing one so that you can continue saying it, and there is an option to save unsent chats in case you don't want them to be wiped when you reopen the chat menu.
You will be able to chat inside of nether portals, which could potentially stop portal softlock traps from being as useful on plugin servers, or really in general, since you can now tell people you're trapped.

Yeah, they removed ‘em because they said it was being too laggy, but they think that chunk renderering machines are a good replacement, and, as an improvement, chunks around you will be loaded BEFORE your player joins a server. Basically, we don’t really need them as much anymore.Minecraft Java is getting another improvement with the latest drop! “End Flashes” were added to Minecraft in the Chase the Skies update on bedrock edition, and they're getting added in the latest drop on Java edition.
So, normally, the End will look normal, but every minute or so, the ground slowly flashes over to purple then back to normal again. A skylight is also getting added so that even though the ground level is 0, the sky level is 15.
It's a pretty nice ambient feature that adds a bit of aesthetic to the End.
Not sure why you all hyped up the End update so much though.

Do you know anything about vibrant visuals getting added to Java? It wouldn't run on this 12 year old laptop probably, but it is weird it has not been added yet.

Personally I think they don't need to add Vibrant Visuals to Java because it's incredibly easy to add a shader to your game, and if you're on PC and don't want to mod your game you can just play Bedrock. (After all, the only people who'd care about playing Java and not Bedrock would be Java redstoners and I doubt they'll be looking for fancy visuals if they're doing redstone)“End Flashes” were added to Minecraft in the Chase the Skies update on bedrock edition, and they're getting added in the latest drop on Java edition.Sounds cool, I have used bedrock a bit since chase the skies (but not much), and the end did surprise me.

Mojang did make some changes to mob rendering so that high-entity locations like mob farms would run better, so they definitely are doing some work on it, but I don't know how much more work Java needs before Vibrant Visuals needs to be added.

vibrant visuals is… ok overall.
Like it’s nice but the fact that any Minecraft marketplace map or resource pack that is older than vibrant visuals automatically turns vibrant visuals off which really sucks because I would wanna see my favorite maps in vibrant visuals but I cant because of that and it’s stupid.
Also it’s pretty laggy in some areas and other games like r*bl*x have way more high quality stuff that is no where near as laggy as vibrant visuals and I really don’t get it.

I guess, although the first one (Minecraft modding) is not really valid, since modders would know how to add shaders. (Also if you reply to only a certain part of the post please bold that part instead of snipping the rest unless the OG post was incredibly long) But the point does somewhat still stand - if you're looking for a different type of PvP, you probably aren't also going to care about Vibrant Visuals in your PvP, especially not if you go back to 1.8, in which case you'd need to install shaders anyway.Personally I think they don't need to add Vibrant Visuals to Java because it's incredibly easy to add a shader to your game, and if you're on PC and don't want to mod your game you can just play Bedrock. Well… There is another thing to consider. Vanilla survival mode. In Java Edition, there are a bunch of differences between the vanilla survival experience between Java and Bedrock, such as offhanding items and blocks, different mob behaviors, and a lot of other various mechanics (map markers, for example) that make Java stand out from Bedrock for a different experience. There's also things like amplified worlds in Java, and those things would be great with Vibrant Visuals.I guess, although the first one (Minecraft modding) is not really valid, since modders would know how to add shaders. Also, I feel like Vibrant visuals is supposed to be a more tame/light version of shaders, that wouldn't cause as much lag and wouldn't look too realistic so that it still fits into the game. So even if you know how to use shaders, you could use vibrant visuals if you want nice lighting but nothing that looks photorealistic.

Yeah, and you can get different shaders, like you can mods. It's impossible for Vibrant Visuals to be a tame version of shaders as a whole since shaders can be anything. There are thousands of shaders and they're all greatly optimised since the devs dedicate more time to it than Mojang ever could (since they need to split their workflow). As someone who uses vibrant visuals, it 100% causes lag and apparently is worse than RTXWell… There is another thing to consider. Edit point: Vibrant Visuals does work well for Bedrock since they can optimise it per device, and they know everyone's PS5 or their Switch, should run almost the same.
Non-edit: Also I haven't snipped because of context, but if you do snip, please write the context of the previous posts next to the snip, a bit like a TL;DR. I do that sometimes when the original quote is important.
