this is the exact reason i dont play bedrock featured servers.

in fact, the only reason i use bedrock is on java servers that allow alts to AFK and support bedrock.

To be fair there is some good featured servers

Do you guys know any 1.8 PvP/minigames servers where less than 90% of the players are pvp pros?

I increased my winrate in Hypixel Skywars from a 1% winrate to a 2% winrate. (21 wins, 1,155 losses)

Well, first, you do not need to pay to play most minigames except for prison (and I'm pretty sure even that has one free week every month). The only exceptions are beta versions of existing games. You can use skins, just not character creator skins because there is a problem loading them or something, the same is true for some marketplace maps. you also can't use custom skins but this is to prevent innapropriate skins. You can use skins from the marketplace, and considering how many free skin packs there are, that might not be that much of a caveat if you know the right ones.
Also, even though the server has hackers at least it isn't as much as Hypixel. A bunch of people in the server are also pretty bad at it to make up for it.

It isn't my preferred featured server, those would be Cubecraft and older Galaxite minigames, but Lifeboat is pretty decent. Also, when you think about it, Survival mode is basically an anarchy server with a profanity filter, which I'd prefer.

You guys remember that one server, Mineplex, that was the most popular server in Minecraft then died later? Well, if you scroll down a bit on their website, apparently they've been doing closed betas and they'll have an open beta live for everyone on May 2nd.

Take this how you want, I won't have any more input on this.

Java 100%. The only time I ever play Bedrock is when I don't have access to my computer and I play it on my Switch (and I'll probably do that a bit when Vibrant Visuals is only on Bedrock).

I hate how the most obvious option to add more content to Bedrock is “addons” which usually cost an insane amount of Minecoins equivalent to how much eggs cost nowadays, while Java has like a gajillion better mods with more capabilities available on Modrinth for free. I used to have nostalgia for Bedrock because I have fond memories of playing it on iPad between 1.14 and 1.16, but now it has new UI and icons. Now it just feels like a recreation of Minecraft that has been rendered unfaithful by its own standards. Also, achievements are completely disabled if you enable cheats, and you have to enable commands to enable keep inventory. (In Java, I've started turning keep inventory on in game rules without allowing cheats.)

I like Java more because the overall look and feel hardly ever changes, you can go back to old versions, you may install as many ground-breaking mods as you want, and you can play on Realms without everybody needing a subscription. Also, it's impossible for me to play Java on my computer (I own a Mac).

Unpopular opinion: “Door” from the Minecraft Alpha album should’ve been the only Minecraft title screen music or at least the first guaranteed one that plays every time you open the game (edit): also during the loading screens it should play Key and when the loading is over the music fades out and fades into Door
