I have the most experience with scratch 1.4. The 2.0 version isn't bad, it's just that in the 1.4 I could change the fonts for the texts. Can I do that in 2.0?

Fonts will come later…. Not sure when, but they will.

1 Open a program like paint.
2 Make an image with the font you want
3 Save as a bitmap
4 Open the 2.0 creator
5 Select the costumes tab
6 Select the folder with the up arrow.
7 Choose the file
8 Select “Open”
9 Delete all other costumes.

This allows you to choose the font for the graphic, but not using Scratch.

I think this is a better way to do that.

1 Open a program like Paint.NET.
2 Make an image with the font you want with a transparent background.
3 Save as a PNG.
4 Open the 2.0 creator
5 Select the costumes tab
6 Select the folder with the up arrow.
7 Choose the file
8 Select “Open”
9 Delete all other costumes.

This allows you to choose the font for the graphic, but not using Scratch.

Sorry, I have not heard of paint.net until now.

you can also create text sprite using Scratch 1.4 and import in 2.0 (but you can't change the text after)

Did you Download Scratch or Use The Websites Version?

If you Are Using The Websites Version I Suggest You Dont
Cause it Carnt Use Fonts or Nothing.

If you are using the downloaded version then there should already be

If you do not wish to download the program suggested, you can just write down text in Word, PowerPoint, Pages, e.t.c., use a screen snipping tool
(which, as far as I know, definitely comes with Windows 7) to get the text, save it as a PICTURE, and import it into Scratch. Remember that you should put the text in first.

Or use Paint.NET instead, use a transparent background and then save as a PNG file.

There are now 4 fonts you can get on scratch and you can use google drawings or fontgod (a user) which are suitable for more vector
