instead of
((0) + (0))
((0) - (0))
((0) * (0))
((0) / (0))
change it to
((0) (+ v) (0):: operators)
which contains all 4 of those operations.

There's no reason why this shouldn't be possible…
I'm just not entirely sure if the Scratch editor can render inputs before and after a field.

There is a point, like if you were making a math problem-solving game.

How would that help?

easier to make random questions i think

Yes, that is it.
set [math v] to ((pick random (1) to (10)) (pick random (1) to (4)) (pick random (1) to (10)):: operators)
ask (math) and wait
if <(answer) = (math)> then
...
else
...
end
EDIT: this code doesn't work but this is what it could be used for.

semi-support
while you could just use the normal operator blocks, It would be kinda useful for operators which need to change from division to multiplication depending on the situation(for now you have to use ifs, and recode the operators, but this would be a little easier).

This has been suggested here. I've read somewhere that the Scratch Team doesn't like to “condense” blocks into fewer with dropdowns as it hides the options you have to newer users. Plus, there's the added consequence that adding a dropdown would make these blocks significantly longer and harder to read, as this post shows.

Support. No doubt about it. Sure, it would make blocks slightly longer, and it would be less obvious to newer users. But it would also help simplify projects, also helping those newer scratchers. It would also be quite helpful if they added the exponent operation into it. Overall, the pros outweigh the cons.

“Slightly longer”? I don't think so. This would practically make the block twice as long. It adds up, fast, since these blocks are used a lot in conjunction with each other. Plus there's also the added inconvenience in that every single time you need one of these blocks, you have to go through the dropdown instead of simply dragging from the palette. That time loss adds up and I'd imagine would get quite annoying if my experiences with the function blocks is anything to go by.

Semi support. I suppose this would be easier when simplifying projects and if your making a math related project such as a calculator. But the Scratch Team doesn't really like to combine blocks into one drop down block since that makes it harder for newer users.

Everyone! This is a duplicate. Please use this topic to discuss this further.
