Ok. I need your help. Problem 1: I had a great idea for a chat system, but I would prefer to block most cuss words. I could easily do it by making a list of them and then having a system run through that list checking if the message contains those words, but I don't know if having a list contain said “words” goes against scratch rules. Problem 2: I dont know how to block work arounds for words. Every time I would ban one, somebody would find another work around. it happens too often on most multiplayer games that ban cuss words. take Roblox™ for example. if you've played on there on different game (mostly Fps and rage games) you'll find people using work arounds. Any ideas/input? just asking.

The Scratch Team forbids most forms of chatrooms since: (1) The Scratch Team couldn't moderate all chatrooms, so there is a high possibility that people can take advantage of that (2) It is very easy to exploit a chatroom. It is possible to make someone seem to post inappropriate material, so the Scratch Team couldn't fully confirm whether someone really did it. (3) People can access the project code and see the bad words in the filterbot script, too.

A form of a chatroom which is allowed on Scratch, is only letting the users communicate with a variety of phrases, like those in the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe lobbies.

Preset words are also not allowed, only preset phrases
