this is just a random idea I had and it's not really anything just yet.

Basically it's something of a camp (?) but also not…. lol

I was thinking of it to take place in June as i personally will have more free time. Leader signups (if the start is solidifed to be in June) will be posted April 1st (jk it'll be a prank lol /j), and camper (but not campers cause this isn't a camp but is) sign-ups will be May 1st.

Without further ado, herre are some of my brainstorming ideas, some of which are not cohesive, btw:
-4 groups (20 people each?)
-Weekly newspaper reporting updates, events, and tips. A question column will be open to all participants to be answered in an issue. (Newspaper will be put together by me + a not yet existent team)
- 2 groups of writers and 2 groups of artists
-Challeges might require participants to band with the opposite group (i.e. artist group with writer group)
-Weekly group elimination(?)
-Whichever group is the last one standing win

• how long it should run for
  
  Typically Scratch camps run for a month, but this isn't a camp, exactly.
  I really want to go through with the idea of the newspaper, which will post
  new issues weekly. A week is the minimum amount of time that I think
  is good for being able to get info, statistics, and put it together, and so
  that should be a factor in deciding the time frame of this project.
  

• what we should name it
  
  A brainstorming idea mentioned previously stated for this to be a place where
  writing and drawing will be the forms of creative arts to be featured. The name
  should allude to that.
  
  

• the elimination process
  
  Ah yes. A very competitive element, which is elimination. I'm not 100% sure on
  the specifics, but I need feedback on how often the elimination should take place.
  I was thinking a week, but then that would mean that the time frame would need
  to be lengthened drastically in order to accommodate weekly eliminations out of
  who knows how many people.
  I was planning on featuring the unfortunate eliminated person in the newspaper
  as well as getting their teammates reactions.
  The eliminations will be based off of the teams' performance. Again, this is open
  to suggestions, but I was thinking that the team with the least amount of points
  at the start of the weekend must eliminate a member at random (random so as
  not to fuel drama ).
  

• how dailies will work
  
  Since this is planned out to be a writing and drawing thingy, (lol idk what to call it)
  obviously the mediums are a bit different and scoring will also need to be adjusted
  as required. We'll borrow the SAC and SWC forms of minutes and words, obviously
  to the respective teams. But since the artists have something of a disadvantage to
  writers, since they have points based off of an unchangeable unit, time, they'll be given
  a leveler- opportunities to earn more points. The requirements for that will be posted
  in the main studio description. For example, an artist drawing a fullbody for the main
  daily would get extra points if the ‘fullbody’ requirement was listed in the column of
  extra-point activities.
  This doesn't really make any sense lol. But BASICALLY a list of the requirements will be
  posted in the description of the main studio, where challenges and rankings and all that
  good stuff will be. But the requirements will change weekly (example, the first week might
  be like- fullbody = 100 points, headshot = 40 points, etc., but the second week might be
  fullbody = 125 points, lineless = 30(basically the points and the requirements will change
  each week)
  Points are only applicable if the challenge was done that week, if that makes sense.
  Moving on: two dailies will be posted, one for the artists and one for the writers.
  Extra points if you do both (?)

I did put in the suggestion of the leveler for artists so as to somewhat even out the odds-

I should add that the participants should only be in one group, artist or writer- they cant be in both. Okay I don’t know why, but I think having to write a newspaper and have a daily May be too much. Maybe there could be a task every 2 or 3 days or something? This is just my personal opinion.

Newspaper:
Each week, there will be a certain prompt or something and a group of uhmmmm 20 people- or is that too much? There could be 8 teams of 10 people, and it could take two months, or no- that’s too much maybe? Idk about this yet

Elimination:
Okay so if we were going with eliminating teams, then what would the disqualified people do after then? Could they still do dailies?

Do these exist? Would they make it too complex?

Planning forums:
Uhmm after we get enough cohosts and stuff do we make a seperate planning forum?

I mean that the team with the least amount of points at the end of the week will be eliminated. And if you mean not having small teams regarding the challenges- yeah those won't be super often.

I think Moss was just mentioning the fact that there shouldn't be too many dailies that require partnership between people because of different time schedules

I had to read this a couple times to understand. I think you may have gotten the wrong idea- correct me if I'm wrong, though. Are you thinking that the campers/participants will have to write a newspaper? Because that's not what i was going for. The weekly newspaper will be posted sometime on the weekend and will be produced and created by me and a team of people, probably leaders and co-hosts or just other people. Sorry if this was confusing- maybe I didn't explain it very well (lol im very bad at communicating)

I'm not sure what you're trying to articulate but in short, even in competitions there's always (as far as i know) a host or smth along the lines of a host, who just oversees everything and makes sure everything is going smoothly.
