One time, i tried posting stuff when the comment filter said it had bad words. Can scratch please give me a indication on where the bad word is, since i don’t know all bad words. I even tried using a bad word cleaner but it didn’t work.

Giving you the bad word would expose you to language not appropriate for Scratch. For that reason, Scratch does not give you the bad word in your comment, they will just simply mute you. If there was a bad word in your comment, most likely it was a misspelled word if you don't know what it is.

Well, maybe scratch could just substitute the bad word for a good word that means the same. Don’t ask me how, but i know bad words are usually synonyms of ok words(they are bad because people in the past didn’t like synonyms, for some reason).

You'd still know that was a bad word, because you typed it. There was a suggestion about a bad word autocorrecting to a good word a few days ago, and people didn't support it because users would not learn that they were doing something wrong and would keep repeating the same mistake.

Then maybe still let them know there was a bad word? Or maybe still mute them?

They still won't learn from their mistake, as the bad word would be autocorrected to a good word, and then muting them, when if it autocorrects, there is no actual bad language in the comment, possibly confusing them.

Also, I’ve heard that the bad words list is REALLY broken. For example, I could currently type the H word and someone typed a bad word 1 character off and got filtered. ST, if you see this, please fix the bad word filter.

hell, *, and * aren't filtered by the filter because they're not considered offensive enough

Not really. These aren't very offensive words, and can be used in a context outside of an insult. You could refer to hell as the place, being damned as the verb, and more.

Well, there are some false positives, such as “bit challenging” that will trigger the filter despite being appropriate phrases.

I happened to be unfortunate enough to accidentally say this, thinking it was allowed. I mean, it was allowed, but the Scratch filter system didn't think so.
